Some news in Windows 7

Digg!
As a huge fan of Windows 7 I cant stop looking for news and announcement about this great operating system. I would heap up some of the news here.

Most important note is that Microsoft is just about to release a Release Candidate 1 which is very probable to be the final release. As usually the RC version has appeared before the original release date on share servers but one or several versions have been infected with a trojan horse. It is strongly not recommended by Microsoft to download any other than official version of Windows 7 release candidate because it may lead to fatal issues.

It is very probable that the following are the final requirements of the new system. It is sure that machine Vista capable is absolutely Windows 7 capable. Even a machine that could run Windows XP should be able to cope with the new OS. I myself tried the BETA on 256 RAM and it did run quite well.

There are again going to be 6 version of Windows 7 which are similar to those in Windows Vista. The following table shows the capabilities of each version.

List of new features which are new to Windows or have undergone great changes in development. Windows 7 has taken more from XP compatibility with 3rd party software so we shall expect almost any old applications to run on Windows 7 unless the system says that fatal issues are detected running this app. (That does not happen often)

Improved interface

Better performance, i.e. startup times, system load
UAC improvements
Evolved kernel
Virtualization
Touch support, hardware sensors
New and improved software programs
