1 TB BlueRay in 2013

1 TB BlueRay in 2013

Digg!

It is quite a long time today since BlueRay the huge capacity compact disc has been announces and first couple of those were sold in shops. The prices slowly decrease and today it is not so hard to get a few of those. Even the burning rom prices are getting lower and lower so BlueRay is sortof beginning to be a standard.

Ussual BlueRay which you might see are with capacity 25GB or 50GB. Today at most there are 400GB which have 16 layers of storage. That is quite a space according to storage capacity of hard drives which today is 320 gigs standard. Hitachi the company producing BlueRay´s ara planning to increase the capacity even more. They would like to reach the magic point of 1TB (1000GB) on single disc. They are saying that current roms and home BlueRay player will be compatible with the 1TB discs so no panic people you won´´t have to buy a new player to benefit the new 1TB. Still we will have to wait a little bit the one terabite dics is predicted in 2013 and it will cost a little bit more than todays 25GB medium.
