Virus-and-malware-free Internet browsing

Virus-and-malware-free Internet browsing

Digg!

You may find this article interesting if you are often browsing threw infected websites full of viruses, malware, adware, rootkits, exploits and all that crap that you hate to find in your system.

Well the solution to this is not one of the easiest and most comfortable but gives you like 99.9% chance of surfing the internet virus free. But dont worry once this plan is all set up, starting it again and again wont take so much time, only a couple of seconds to be accurate.

Step one) Install some virtual machine application into your system, I chose VMWARE WORKSTATION, great program by the way. This application allows you to run several separate operating system at once at one machine, choice of the other OSīs is unlimited, its your call.

Step two) Look for an Image of an Operating system you chose. You can use in this case Windows so you will be running two Windows at once but I would prefer Linux for your demonstration, especially THIS DISTRIBUTION which is very simple and for our needs more then sufficient.

Step three) Via your virtual machine application in my case VMWare Workstation create yourself a new instance of operating system. Please follow the following video if you chose to use VMWare Workstation and you dont have experience in this field.

Step four) This step is my favorite one. Browse any infected sites using Mozilla firefox which is or can be part of almost all operating systems. You simply find this browser or any other which you believe is save in your system and use it for your virus-and-malware-free browsing.

To be more specific

I would briefly explain what is so safe about this method. All right so at first it is the Mozilla firefox browser. A very stable and save application to use even in Windows. Second level of protection is Linux OS, believe me or not it is very hard to get a virus into Linux from the internet, dont believe me? Try it... And last level of protection is the actual Virtual machine. The virtual machine uses only a particular amount of hard drive space and has nothing to do with the kernel of Windows which is the black spot for the viruses. The worse viruses attack this spot at Windows causing usually huge damage, so we want to avoid infection of Windows kernel. Even if the virus gets threw Mozilla and Linux it simply stops at the edge of the virtual machine, there is mostly no way to get past the virtual machine interface. Simply said this method is mostly unbeatable for any virus. If you use this method all the time for browsing the internet you need not even have an anti-virus pack installed but still just in case place one in your system at least it feels safer.
