Leave your worries at home and visit Seville.

During these uncertain times many have opted to holiday closer to home, believing it to be the cheaper option. However, with offers and discounts at many hotels across Europe and flights available from low cost airlines this may not always be the case. Why not venture further a field and see what Seville in the south of Spain has to offer?

As the capital of the large southern region of Andalusia, Seville has something for everyone. If it’s history you are interested in, like with the rest of the region, Seville has many fine examples of architecture left behind after hundreds of years of Moorish rule. For example, the lofty Giralda tower of the Cathedral, an UNESCO World Heritage site, and the vast and beautiful Alcazar palace, where even today the King of Spain stays on his visits to the city. With sights like these simply wandering around the city is a fascinating and low cost activity.

Flowing through Seville is the beautiful Guadalquivir River, which brought Seville much of its wealth in the days of Christopher Columbus and now adds to the beauty of this historic city and provides a picturesque setting for many riverside bars and restaurants.

If it is nightlife that you are looking for Seville can supply you with everything you want. The carefree Spanish lifestyle means that the town is always buzzing, not only in the many traditional tapas bars which offer you delicious little dishes for only a few euros, but also in the bars and clubs. In the summer months popular venues are the outside terrace clubs and bars where you can dance the night away beneath the stars.

Getting to Seville is cheap and easy with flights available with RyanAir from London-Stanstead. Once there you can find all types of accommodation for every type of traveller, with hostels for the backpacker up to five-star luxury for those who prefer something special and many reasonably priced, good hotels in between. So why not fight the crisis, leave your money worries behind and visit Seville.
